Hebi has a long history and brilliant culture. It was the capital of Kingdom Wei and Kingdom Zhao during the Warring States Period. The Qihe River here has the name of “river of poetry, river of history and river of ecology”. 39 episodes in the Book of Songs described the scenery and customs along the Qihe River.
There are 3 class 4A scenip spots (Dapi Mountain in Xunxian County, Yunmeng Mountain in Qixian County and Lingshan Mountain in Qixian County) and 2 class 3A scenic spots (Jinshan Temple and National Taiji Drawing ).
The Great Buddha Statue is 22.3m high and 1600 years old. The vistor flow during the folk fairs in the first month of Chinese lunar year is over 300000.
Yunmeng Mountains has fantastic scenery and is called the first military school in ancient China. Wang Chan, the strategist and militarist during the Wa States Period taught here. Sun Bin, Pang Juan, Su Qin,Zhang Yi, Maosui and many other famous celebrities were his students.
